Power to the Pupils

Power to the Pupils formed in 2011. Later that year, the group released their first CD 'Our Game'. They also published a book containing the lyrics from the CD. The book can be found at the Poetry Library at the Southbank Centre, London, UK.

Power to the Pupils have also been featured on UK TV - Community Channel's London 360 show.

The group's second album, "Power to the Pupils - Write On!" was released in July 2012.

The group consists of writers, rappers, singers, artists, musicians, dancers and filmmakers.

Power To The Pupils is a group of children focusing on music and developing their music skills. In the group we rap, sing and dance. We have our own website and on our blog has photos of us and some of our raps. We will also have some videos of the girls Shariah, myself, Zenabu, Tina and Casel dancing to ‘Rhythm Of Life’.

The thing that made me join rap club was the inspiration and the support of Tyra, Kapreece and Jorjoh. All thanks to them look where I am now, performing at places and recording my raps. We hope lots of people join and remember - there’s always POWER TO THE PUPILS!!

What we hope to do in the future is to get more and more people to join the club and perform in loads of other festivals!
