Power to the Pupils

Power to the Pupils formed in 2011. Later that year, the group released their first CD 'Our Game'. They also published a book containing the lyrics from the CD. The book can be found at the Poetry Library at the Southbank Centre, London, UK.

Power to the Pupils have also been featured on UK TV - Community Channel's London 360 show.

The group's second album, "Power to the Pupils - Write On!" was released in July 2012.

The group consists of writers, rappers, singers, artists, musicians, dancers and filmmakers.

Dean Atta visited Power to the Pupils. Dean is an award-winning poet and playwright. He performed some of his poems and talked about being a writer. He also gave the group some useful tips for making the second album.

Dean said that to be a good writer you have to be a good listener!
